Woman killed in Badghis traffic accident

ASABABAD (Pajhwok): A woman died and three others, including two children, were injured as a result of flash floods in eastern Kunar province, officials said on Monday.

Ehsanullah, damage assessment manager at the Natural Disasters Management Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News heavy rains, hailstorms and floods occurred in Qamcha area of Watapor district and left one woman dead and three people including two children injured.

He said the floods destroyed crops on dozens of acres of land, check dams and flooded rivers today (morning).

“A woman lost her life and three people including two children have been injured due to heavy flash floods in Qamcha area of Watapor district at 8:30am today”: he added.

According to him, 20 residential houses in this area have also been partially damaged.
