PARAKH (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has upgraded Panjsher’s Rukha district hospital from 40 to 50 beds, local officials said on Saturday.
Public Health Director Dr. Hujjatullah Mohammadi told Pajhwok Afghan News changes were brought to the structure of the hospital according to a proposal from the MoPH.
The upgrade, including the addition of ENT and Orthopedic Departments, was accorded approval by the prime minister of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA).
With an increase in the number of beds, hospital has got enhanced capacity to accommodate more patients, Mohammadi explained.
