Heavy rains, floods predicted in 19 provinces

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Transport and Aviation has predicted heavy rains, floods and lightning in 19 provinces of the country.

The ministry wrote on its X page that today and tomorrow heavy rains and floods will likely lash Badakhshan, Nuristan, Takhar, Kunar, Laghman, Nangarhar, Panjsher, Kapisa, Kabul, Logar, Paktia, Khost, Baghlan, Kunduz, Samangan, Parwan, Bamyan, Wardak and Ghazni provinces, including the Salang pass.

It predicted rain in some places from 15mm to 45mm.

The ministry wrote relatively strong winds with dust would hit northern, western, southeastern, eastern and central provinces, including Salang with speed at 50 to 70 kilometers per hour.

Also there is a possibility of snowfall in high places and cold areas.
