Afghan national football team off to Tajikistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): The national football team has departed for Tajikistan to play two friendly matches, the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) said on Monday.

In a statement, AFF said the national team left for Dushanbe to play two friendly matches against Nepal and Tajikistan on November 16 and 19.

Deputy Technical and Professional of Physical Training Hafiz Ahmad Jan Zadran met with members of the national team and wished them success.

The friendly matches are the first Afghan national team will play under the guidance of its Uzbekistani head coach Osman Toshef.

Osman Toshef was appointed as the head coach of the Afghanistan national football team on October 21 after the resignation of Ashley Westwood.
