‘Pharmaceutical industry improved significantly in past 3-years’

KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industry Mawlavi Ahmadullah Zahid has said that the pharmaceutical industry has made significant development in the past three years and asked people to buy locally produced medicines.

He said this during the inauguration of a private hospital in the capital Kabul. The hospital cost $500,000.

Mawlavi Ahmadullah said in the past three years, a lot of work has been done in the field of pharmaceuticals, the quality of which is also good, and people have been requested to use domestic products.

He also requested the officials of the private hospital to provide standard services to the people.

Qazi Pamir Akakhel, a senior official of the Ministry of Public Health, said that there are about 9,000 thousand doctors registered with the Ministry of Public Health in the whole country who are working in different fields.

He asked the officials of the private hospital to provide quality health services to the people by considering the standards.

Mohammad Younis Momand, deputy head of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, asked the government to support the private health sector and asked private hospital owners to provide quality services to the people so that the need for abroad treatment is reduced.
