KABUL (Pajhwok): Over 700 administrative processes of government ministries simplified since the takeover of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), an official said on Tuesday.
It was stated by Mufti Shahzad Noor Rashid, head of the Administrative Reform and Civil Services Commission (ARCSC) during the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum.
Mufti Rashid said that ARCSC under the auspicious of the Administrative Affairs Department organized reform programmers for the ministries and one of these programmes was the simplification of administrative processes.
He said after the takeover of the IEA 708 processes in 10 ministries had been simplified.
The minister added that during the current year, the ministries of education, public health, mines and petroleum, and provincial municipalities are working to simplify administrative processes. Rashid called the program to simplify administrative processes fundamental and emphasized that this would be beneficial for the people and the country's economy.
Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum Mullah Haibatullah Badri said previously, investors went through 228 steps to invest in large-scale mines and 178 steps in small-scale mines.
Sheikh Noor-ul-Haq Anwari, the director general of the Department of Administrative Affairs described the simplification of administrative processes as a good step in the field of transparency, standardization of work, and gaining public trust.
