Man gunned down in Uruzgan over land dispute

TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): A man was gunned down during a clash over a land dispute in central Uruzgan province, police said on Thursday.

Police spokesman Bilal Uruzgnai told Pajhwok Afghan News the man was killed by his cousins over land ownership claim in Sorkh Morghab area of Tirinkot city today (morning).

“After Rahmatullah was killed, security forces reached to the scene and detained two people in connection with the incident,” he added.

Earlier, clashes over land disputes have taken place and have caused casualties in the province.
