MoPH holds examination for 450 vacant positions

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced nearly 450 professional posts in various sectors for which 3,500 candidates, including women, participated in a merit based examination.

Sharafat Zaman, spokesperson for the MoPH, at the launch of examination process said the examination process was being held transparently and in cooperation with the Independent Administrative Reform and Civil Services Commission (IARCSC).

He said: “The exam is computerized and will last for about 15 days, with candidates from different provinces of the country participating.”

Zaman said About 3,500 candidates from all over the country participated in this exam, competing for nearly 450 fourth, fifth, and sixth grade positions in 15 different fields, including dental prosthetics, nursing, midwifery, and physiotherapy.

He also added that the ministry plans to announce another 8,500 vacancies through open competition, and qualified individuals from the center and provinces could apply.

Agha Mir Samai, one of the participants of the examination for grade sixth position, said: “I graduated from a health center three years ago and during this time I have worked in some hospitals and private clinics. I hope that these exams will be held transparently and we will be able to continue our profession in government positions.”

He called on the government to increase employment opportunities for the country's youth by providing job opportunities through transparent exams.
