2,500 acres of land in Parwan identified as state property

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Land Grab Prevention and Restitution Commission (LGPRC) has identified 2,500 acres of land in the Bagram district of central Parwan province as state land, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) said on Sunday.

In a statement MoJ said after the evaluation of land-related documents and statements of local people, the LGPRC committee declared the land as state property.

The ministry, however, did not provide any information about the identities of the land grabbers in the Yozbashi area of the district, or when it was encroached on.

The commission, which was formed a year ago, has set up local committees in most provinces of the country to evaluate suspicious land documents.
