Afghan economy poised for growth, says Maulvi Kabir

KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Maulvi Abdul Kabir says that the caretaker government has launched efforts to reduce poverty, and the country's national economy will grow stronger in the coming years.

Maulvi Kabir made these remarks during a ceremony for the graduation of students from a seminary in Paktika province, the Presidential Palace said in a statement.

He said, "Just as the Islamic Emirate has been successful in combating corruption and other challenges, efforts have also been made to tackle poverty. In the coming years, Afghanistan’s national economy will be further strengthened."

He noted that unlike previous governments, the IEA was not wasting time but instead focused on the country’s reconstruction.

The deputy premier added that numerous projects have already been implemented, with additional development work planned.

Maulvi Kabir also highlighted that no one dares to spread inappropriate ideas in seminaries and universities, stressing that the IEA has never compromised on Islamic and religious values.

According to him, the IEA has grown stronger and is currently maintaining political and economic relations with many countries.

He also emphasised that the caretaker government is working on the development of all regions without discrimination, and efforts would be increased with attention to the needs of Paktika province.
