KABUL (Pajhwok): The Kabul Municipality says that work on four sub-road projects in the capital has been completed at a cost of 30 million afghanis.
In a statement on X, the Kabul Municipality said the four projects were completed in limits of the 5th police district, in Qala-i-Kashif, Qargha and Company areas.
It said the roads were 3.8 kilometres long, with widths ranging from 3.5 to 5 metres. The projects were completed in five months with the help of the United Nations Office for Project Services, at a cost of nearly 30 million afghanis.
The projects are important in providing access to transportation infrastructure and creating a suitable urban environment.
Local residents have pledged to cooperate with the Kabul Municipality in maintaining the newly constructed sub-roads.
According to the statement, the projects created job opportunities for 600 individuals per day, accounting for 30 million afghanis.
