KABUL (Pajhwok): Three deputy ministers, a governor and a provincial police chief have been appointed by the caretaker government.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) chief spokesman wrote on X the new appointments had been made in compliance with orders of IEA leadership.
Zabihullah Mujahid said former governor of Takhar Maulvi Obaidullah Aminzadah had been appointed as the new deputy minister of labour and social affairs.
Ex-deputy minister of mines and petroleum Sheikh Zia-ur-Rahman Aryoubi has been picked as the deputy minister of higher education.
The former director of supervision at Da Afghanistan Bank Sheikh Abdul Rahman Qanit has been appointed as the deputy minister of mines and petroleum.
Ex-police chief of Kandahar Maulvi Samiullah Hizbullah has been made the governor of Takhan province.
Former governor of Helmand Maulvi Abdul Ahad Talib has been picked as the new police chief for Kandahar province.
Ex-deputy minister of higher education Lutfullah Khairkhwa has been appointed as director of supervision at the central bank.
