KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghan national under-17 football team has departed for Uzbekistan to take part in the 2026 CAFA U-17 Championship.
The Afghanistan Football Federation announced on Facebook on Saturday that the team left for Tashkent this morning, where the tournament will be held.
The championship will feature teams from Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
Afghanistan is scheduled to play its opening match against Kyrgyzstan on April 6.
