<p style="text-align: justify;">FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Security forces in western Farah province say a man has been arrested on charges of killing his wife, who was allegedly brutally murdered about a week ago.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Police spokesman Khaleemullah Nangyal said security and intelligence forces in Bakwa district arrested the suspect, identified as Abdul Samad, from the district centre following sustained efforts and continuous surveillance.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">He said the suspect had tortured and killed his wife about a week earlier before fleeing the area after the incident.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">“The individual was arrested today after sustained monitoring and coordinated efforts by our security and intelligence forces,” Nangyal said.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">He added that the suspect has been handed over to judicial and legal authorities following preliminary investigations.</p>
