<p style="text-align: justify;">KABUL (Pajhwok): Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit China from May 19 to 20 for talks with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, the Kremlin announced on Saturday.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">International media, citing a Kremlin statement, reported that the visit will take place at the invitation of Xi Jinping.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Kremlin said the trip coincides with the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation between Russia and China.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the statement, Putin and Xi are expected to discuss bilateral relations, the expansion of cooperation, as well as major regional and international issues.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump also visited China last week.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Treaty of Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation was signed in 2001 by former Chinese President Jiang Zemin and Vladimir Putin, committing the two countries to long-term strategic cooperation and formalising collaboration in several economic sectors.</p>
