KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have killed a tribal elder in the Dand district of southern Kandahar province, a security source said on Tuesday.
The security source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in the Kalamtar area of the district on Monday night.
The source said the victim was Haji Ahmad Shah Khan Adozai, a well-known tribal elder in the area and the attackers fled the scene.
No information has yet been provided about the motive behind the incident, but the source said security forces had launched a search and investigation to arrest those responsible.
