KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (MoUDH) says residential land plots have been distributed to 898 returnee families across seven provinces of the country.
In a statement, the ministry said the plots were distributed on Sunday by the Permanent Settlement and Land Distribution Committee for Migrants, led by MoUDH.
It said 305 families received plots in Nangarhar, 106 in Farah, 127 in Helmand, 50 in Ghazni, 100 in Nimroz, 100 in Paktika, and 110 in Faryab.
The MoUDH added that the total number of residential land plots distributed to returnee migrants has now reached 40,413.
It said the land distribution process is ongoing, aimed at supporting returnees, facilitating their permanent settlement and improving living conditions and livelihoods.
