KABUL (Pajhwok): The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) has made new appointments in the Supreme Court, the Central Darul Ifta, the Ministry of Finance (MoF), the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum (MoMP) and several other government institutions, an official announced on Thursday.
In a post on X, IEA chief spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said the appointments were made under a decree issued by the supreme leader of the Islamic Emirate.
He said former head of the Kandahar Zone Military Court Mawlawi Mohammad Gul Sayed had been appointed deputy military chief justice of the Supreme Court.
Former deputy military chief justice Sheikh Sardar Mohammad Abdul Faizan has been appointed director-general of the Central Darul Ifta, while former director-general of the Central Darul Ifta Sheikh Khair Jan Khairkhwa has been named deputy minister for military affairs at the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice and Hearing of Complaints, according to Mujahid.
He added former technical and professional deputy head of the General Directorate of Municipal Affairs Haji Niamatullah Hassan had been appointed deputy minister for revenue and customs at the Ministry of Finance.
The IEA chief spokesman said Mawlawi Mohammad Ishaq Sahibzada, former deputy minister for railways at the Ministry of Public Works (MoPW), had been appointed administrative and financial deputy minister at the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum.
He added former deputy minister for revenue and customs at the Ministry of Finance Mawlawi Abdul Matin Saeed had been named deputy minister for geological survey at the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum.
Mawlawi Mahmood Shah Zahid, former deputy head for policy, monitoring and evaluation at the State-Owned Corporations Authority, has been appointed technical deputy minister at the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, while Mawlawi Saifuddin Taib, former deputy head for coordination of state affairs at the Administrative Office, has been named deputy governor of Kandahar.
Former administrative and financial deputy minister at the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum Husamuddin Sabiri has been appointed technical and professional deputy head of the General Directorate of Municipal Affairs.
Mujahid said former Public Works director for Kandahar Mullah Aziz-ur-Rahman Sharif had been appointed head of the Oil and Gas Operations Company at the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, while Eng. Abdullah Motasim, former commercial director of the state-owned Oil and Gas Company, had been named administrative and financial deputy head of the company.
Former deputy governor of Kandahar Mullah Mohammad Sadiq Inqalabi has been appointed director of Mine Protection at the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, while Mawlawi Saeed Ahmad Shaheedkhel, former deputy minister for military affairs at the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice and Hearing of Complaints, has been named deputy director-general of the Central Darul Ifta.
Mujahid said Mufti Abdul Rashid Saeed, former director-general of the Supreme Court Secretariat, had been appointed administrative head of the Central Darul Ifta. Mufti Rahmatullah, former administrative head of the Central Darul Ifta, has been named director-general of the Supreme Court Secretariat, while Mawlawi Obaidullah, former judge in the intelligence section of the Kabul Zone Military Court, has been appointed head of the Kandahar Zone Military Court.
According to Mujahid, Mawlawi Khodaydad, former judge of Shahrak district in Ghor province, has been appointed judge in the intelligence section of the Kabul Zone Military Court, while Mawlawi Rozi Khan Shaibani, former head of the Kandahar Intelligence Directorate’s Decrees and Orders Monitoring Department, has been named chancellor of Paktika University.
Sheikh Abdul Hadi, former member of the Kandahar Ulema Council, has been appointed head of the Intelligence Directorate’s Decrees and Orders Monitoring Department, while Mawlawi Abdul Ghafar Maiwandi has been designated deputy head of the Kandahar Decrees and Orders Monitoring Directorate, Mujahid concluded.
