KABUL (Pajhwok): A total of 151 foreign tourists visited historical, cultural and natural attractions in northeastern Badakhshan province in the second quarter of the current year, an official said on Saturday.
Mawlawi Mohammad Nabi Bahar, spokesman for the General Directorate of State-owned Corporations, said Afghan Tour, a state-owned company, had provided the necessary facilities for the tourists.
He said the tourists visited historical and archaeological sites, natural landscapes and famous tourist destinations in the province.
He added that the company was making efforts to provide the necessary facilities for foreign tourists and promote the tourism industry in Afghanistan.
