Afghanistan U-19 to play ODIs against Bangladesh, Oman

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan Under-19 will play five ODI matches against Bangladesh Under-19 and two against Oman Under-19 this month, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) announced on Monday.

In a statement, the ACB said the Afghan U-19 team will travel to Oman on October 10 and play a five-match ODI series against Bangladesh from October 13 to 23.

Afghanistan will then face Oman in two ODIs on October 27 and 30.

The matches are part of Afghanistan’s preparations for the 2026 Under-19 Asia Cup, scheduled to begin in Oman in early November.

The ACB also announced a 15-member squad, with Sohail Khan as captain.

Sohail Khan (captain), Farid Zadran, Subhan Ali, Noman Salarzai, Faisal Mubarez, Tahir Sarwari, Obaidullah Abid, Hamza Alikhail, Amir Hamza, Sami Mubarez, Mohammad Ali, Lutfullah, Abdullah Hamdard, Imran Mohammadi and Noor Ali Niazi.

Haibat Khan, Hikmatullah and Bilal Sulaimankhel have been named as reserve players.
