Woman parliamentary candidate dies in traffic accident

QALA-I-NAW (Pajhwok): A female Wolesi Jirga hopeful on Monday succumbed to the wounds she suffered in a traffic accident in northwestern Badghis province, an official said.

Haji Bahauddin Qadesi, a member of the provincial council, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Fareba Rahmani was injured in a traffic accident three days ago when she was on her way to Herat province from Badghis.

He said the 55-year-old passed away at Herat Zonal Hospital today. Fareba Rahmani hailed from Qadis district and had been a provincial council member.
