ZARANJ/FARAH (Pajhwok): Airstrikes killed 15 Taliban insurgents, including commanders, and injured four others in Farah and Nimroz provinces, officials said Thursday.
Five militants were killed and four others wounded when their two separate hideouts were targeted in airstrikes in Kashrud district of Nimroz province, military spokesman Mohammad Raza Razai said.
He said several regional commanders of the Taliban were among the dead. Civilians escaped unhurt in the airstrikes, he said,
In Farah province, a drone strike killed 10 Taliban gunmen, including a commander, in Khak-i-Safid district, said provincial police spokesman Mohibullah Mohib.
He identified the slain Taliban commander as Aqa Mir aka Adalat, who was killed along with nine comrades in the airstrike in Nawi Kali area on Wednesday evening.
