Daesh leader for South, East Asia arrested: NDS

KABUL (Pajhwok): Daesh or so-called Islamic State (IS) leader for South and East Asia has been arrested along with two associates, the spy-network said on Monday.

A statement from the National Directorate of Security (NDS) said the intelligence operatives arrested Ziaulhaq known as Sheikh Abu Omar Al Khurasani along with his two partners during an operation by NDS personnel and the 222 Special Police Unit.

The statement said the operation was carried out based on the confiscations of four detainees of the IS with the NDS. It added Suhaib and Abu Ali were also detained in the NDS operation.
