FAIZABAD, 14 July 2009 : A newly constructed canal is seen here in northeastern Badakhshan province. Officials say more than 2700 families would benefit from 25 uplift schemes including pavement of a 15 kilometres road, clearing of a canal, installation of four power generators and construction of a water reservoir of pure water.
