The municipality has closed hundreds of shops in the capital of southern Ghazni province following a sudden rise in food prices, citing the ongoing conflict in Iran as a pretext.

A building for a health centre has been constructed through people’s donations in the Qarabagh district of southern Ghazni province and formally handed over for public use, an official said on Monday.
