TRINIKOT (PAN) was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in central Uruzgan province on Friday, an official said.
While working on his farm in the Talani area of Trinikot, the provincial capital, Muhammad Hashim Khan was gunned down by two motorcyclists.
Haji Dad-i-Maula, the deputy head of the spy agency for the province, told Pajhwok Afghan News the officer was taken in critical condition to an ISAF facility, where succumbed to his injuries.
As usual, the Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
