KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan exported nearly 160,000 tonnes of dried fruit worth over $474 million in the past one year, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) said on Saturday.
In a video clip, ministry spokesman Akhundzada Abdul Salam Jawad, said Afghanistan exported 159,000 tonnes of dried fruit worth $474 million in 2024.
According to Jawad, the exports included raisins, figs, dried apricot, pistachio, almond, pine nut, walnut and other fruits.
Jawad added the dried fruits were exported to India, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Russia, China, England, Germany, Canada, Uzbekistan, the US and other countries.
