KHOST CITY (PAN): Three intelligence agents were killed in a bomb explosion in the capital of southeastern Khost province on Thursday noon, an official said.
An official, who did not want to be named, told Pajhwok Afghan News the bomb hit a vehicle of National Directorate of Security (NDS) personnel at 12 noon.
He said three NDS operatives were killed and four civilian wounded in the blast that rocked the Biland Manzal area of Khost City.
Baryalai Rawan, the governor’s spokesman, confirmed the incident and said the explosives had been attached to a motorcycle. He also verified the three NDS fatalities, saying another two were wounded.
Elsewhere in the troubled south, two civilians were wounded in a blast in the Panjwai district of Kandahar province. The governor’s office said the explosion happened in Zangawat area.
Separately, a traffic incident in Maiwand district left six injured on Wednesday when a truck and a passenger vehicle collided.
