JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Six Taliban and four Islamic State militants were killed on Thursday in two separate airstrikes in eastern Nangarhar province, officials said.
The six Taliban, including their commander named Saad, were killed in Ghanikhel district, the governor’s spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said the airstrike took place at around 11am in the 27th Wyala area.
In a separate airstrike, four Daesh or Islamic States (IS) fighters were killed on Thursday morning in Achin district of the province.
