Work on two school buildings launched in Ghazni

GHAZNI CITY (PAN Bank-funded school buildings has been launched in the southern province of Ghazni, an official said on Tuesday.

The buildings, being constructed in the provincial capital, will be completed in eight months at a cost of $250,000 (11.5 million afghanis).

One of the schools with six rooms is for girls and the other with 12 for boys, Director of Education Hosni Mubarak Azizi told Pajhwok Afghan News.

But Khwaja Ali School Principal Rona said six classrooms could not meet students’ demand. But her student Shahpur hoped the new building would resolve their problems.

Separately, Governor Musa Khan Akbarzada inaugurated an agriculture research and experiment farm in the Jaghori district of the province.

The farm, constructed at a cost of $330,000, will help promote agriculture in the district, where farmers and livestock owners will be trained in growing vegetables, irrigating crops under a new system and raising livestock.
