GHAZNI CTIY (PAN Bank-financed extension work on two schools was launched in the southern province of Ghazni, officials said on Tuesday.
Extensions to Haiderabad and Bahlol High Schools will be completed in the next six months by the Education Quality Improvement Programme.
A dozen rooms would be added to the Haiderabad High School would and five Bahlol High School, Director of Education Hosni Mubarak Azizi told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The extensions to schools in Ghazni City, the provincial capital, would have toilets and water wells, he said, promising to resolve the accommodation problems of students until 2013.
A better learning environment would be provided for 80 percent of students with the construction of the new building, hoped a 12th grader at the Haiderabad High School
Naqibullah said up to 15 percent of students were studying under tents.
