CHARIKAR): Two people were killed and three others injured in road accidents in the central province of Parwan on Monday, officials said.
In one incident, a truck flipped over in the Barikab area of Bagram district, a traffic police officer, Mohammad Younus Pardesi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
“The overloaded vehicle veered off the road due to rash driving,” said a resident of the area, Najib, 32. Only the driver was killed in the accident.
Separately, one passenger was killed and two others were injured when a car went out of control in the Pul-i-Matak area of the same district on Sunday evening.
The victims met the accident on their way from Gorband to Kabul, Pardesi said, adding the driver fled the scene.
“The driver could not control his car when he reached a roundabout,” witness Jawad said.
Elsewhere in the province, a man was seriously injured when a car collided with a truck in the Pushta Surkh area of Jabalus Saraj district.
