FAIZABAD (PAN): Unidentified gunmen beheaded a shepherd in northeastern Badakhshan province, an official said on Saturday.
The shepherd’s name was Mohammad Zahir. He belonged to the Gujar tribe in the Kasham district. He was beheaded overnight in Sangab area of the district, Col. Fazel Ahmad Nazari, the acting provincial police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident, and no one has yet been apprehended, Nazari said.
