JALALABAD (PAN) funded project, was launched in the eastern province of Nangarhar on Sunday, an official said.
The Khogyani district headquarters building would have 32 rooms, a meeting hall, and other additional units and is being constructed over three acres of land with a six months timescale, the district chief, Hajji Mohammad Hasan, told Pajhwok Afghan News. He estimated the cost at $200,000, which would be provided by the PRT.
Meanwhile, a newly-constructed building for a school was inaugurated in the province, said Fazal Rahman, the education department director.
Funded by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the structure cost $92,000, he said, adding the new building had the capacity of housing more than 400 students, both male and female.
