KABUL): A fire that began in a sponge factory in Kabul has destroyed three homes and threatens other structures in the area.
A Pajhwok Afghan News reporter said the fire began in the Khwaja Boghra area in Kabul’s 15th district around 3:30 pm Saturday afternoon. It had not been contained by 4:00 pm, although fire fighters were on the scene.
Fire fighters had difficulty reaching the fire because the area consists of narrow alleys.
