KANDAHAR CITY (PAN): Four civilians were injured in an explosion in southern Kandahar province, an official said on Monday.
The incident took place at around 9:00am in the Loya Wyala area of 9th police district, Zalmay Ayubi, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The remote-controlled bomb, attached to motorcycle, went off when a police vehicle was passing by, Ayubi said, adding three people sustained injuries and were rushed to the Mirwais Civil Hospital.
However, an official at the hospital confirmed receiving four injured people, all in stable condition.
Witness Abdul Ghani said the police vehicle had already passed the area when the powerful blast occurred.
