QUETTA (PAN): Pakistani police have arrested 80 Afghans for illegally entering the Chaman border area in southwestern Balochistan province, officials said on Friday.
Local police officials said most of the detainees, residents of southern Afghanistan without legal travel documents.
The Afghan citizens were arrested while crossing the frontier into Chaman, border police official, Muhammad Saeed Agha, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
All of them were handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for interrogations, he said. But the Afghan consul-general in Quetta said he was unaware of the arrests.
