AIBAK (PAN): Three people were killed and seven others sustained injuries in two separate road accidents in northern Samangan province, officials said on Wednesday.
The first accident occurred at around 2am when a truck crashed into another two trucks in the Rabatak Valley, the traffic department head said.
Lt. Col. Mohammad Ibrahim told Pajhwok Afghan News a man was killed and six others wounded in the crash.
In the same area, a civilian car collided with a truck at around 4am, killing two passengers, including a woman, and injuring a third, he said.
The injured was evacuated to the Balkh zonal hospital in a critical condition, the Samangan civil hospital head, Dr. Shafiullah, said.
According to the Samangan traffic department, 67 people have been killed and 93 others wounded as a result of 88 accidents since Mar.22, 2011 in the province.
