Karzai condemns teacher’s killing as inhuman act

KABUL): President Hamid Karzai on Sunday condemned as an inhuman act the killing of a female schoolteacher in northern Balkh province.

Sima Akakhel, the principal of the Ahmad Shah Abdali Girls’ High School, was murdered inside her house in the Shinkai village of Balkh district on Friday night.

While denouncing her murder, the president commended Akakhel’s commitment to promoting girls’ education’s development could commit such a crime.”

According to a statement from the Presidential Palace, Karzai condoled with the bereaved family and prayed to Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.
