ASADABAD (PAN): A newly-constructed building for the Syed Jamaludin Afghan University was inaugurated on Monday in eastern Kunar province, an official said.
The Ministry of Higher Education-funded project cost $ 550,000, Governor Syed Fazlullah Wahidi told Pajhwok Afghan News at the inaugural ceremony.
The two-storey building has many rooms and other related facilities and equipment aimed at resolving problems previously faced by the university students, he said, adding the higher education ministry had promised constructing more structures and other facilities on the campus.
Chancellor Mir Ahmad Hamid said they had asked a visiting higher education ministry’s delegation to construct buildings for a library, a laboratory and some faculties.
