LASHKARGAH (PAN): Three civilians were killed and six others wounded when a car struck a roadside bomb in the Marja district of southern Helmand province on Monday, an official said.
The incident took place around 9:30am in the Yazdah area, the district chief, Mohammad Fahim Musazai, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He blamed the “enemies of peace” — a euphemism that Afghan officials frequently use for the Taliban — for planting roadside bombs, which often kill ordinary citizens.
The injured were evacuated to the Lashkargah Emergency Hospital. A hospital official confirmed receiving six wounded people, including two children and their parents. Two of them were discharged after being administered first aid.
