KABUL): Nearly 320 jobless youth and people with low income would be imparted vocational training in different skills in northern Takhar province, officials said on Tuesday.
An agreement to the effect was signed on Tuesday between the Ministry of Martyrs, Disabled and Labours and Social Affairs and the Basic Vocational Education and Social Organisation (BESO).
After signing the contract, Social Affairs Minister Amina Afzali told reporters the seven million afghanis project would be implemented over the next nine months in the provincial capital and Khwaja Ghar, Baharak and Farkhar districts.
She asked BESO officials to go by the agreement and the standards mentioned in it and complete the project within the stipulated period.
Acting BESO chief Fawzia Jamizada promised to ensure transparency in implementing the scheme in line the agreement her organisation reached with the ministry.
