HERAT CITY (PAN): A civilian was killed and another injured when the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) soldiers opened fire on a civilian vehicle in western Herat province, officials said on Wednesday.
The incident took place on Wednesday in the Adraskan district of Herat province, Col. Najibullah Najibi, the 207th Zafar Military Corps’ spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Two people were wounded in the firings, but one of them succumbed to his serious injuries at Hospital, he said.
“We are aware of the allegation of a civilian casualty resulting from an incident involving an ISAF patrol in Guzarah district, where a civilian vehicle was attacked,” ISAF said in a statement.
