CHARIKAR): One person was killed and five others sustained injuries when their cars collided in Bagram district of central Parwan province on Sunday, an official said.
The collision took place in the morning on the Kabul-Parwan highway, Mohammad Younus Pardisi, the provincial traffic department chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The wounded were taken to the civil hospital and two of them with slight injuries were discharged after treatment, Public Health Director Mohammad Qasim Sayedi said
Panjshir Education Department head Abdul Moqim Halimi said the injured included three officials of his department.
Elsewhere in central Daikundi province, one person was killed and six others, including a child, were wounded when the bus they were travelling in veered off a road in Khadir district and overturned.
The district chief, Abdul Qadir Rahimi, said the injured were rushed to the district hospital, blaming the accident on the shoddy state of the road.
