GHAZNI CITY (PAN): More than a dozen people were injured when a bomb exploded in front of a shop in southern Ghazni province on Wednesday, an official said.
The blast took place the near governor’s house and the police headquarters in Ghazni City, the provincial capital, deputy governor Mohammad Ali Ahmadi said.
He said it was remote-controlled detonation that left 10 civilians and three policemen injured in the heart of the city, currently serving as the Asian capital of Islamic civilization.
The civil hospital director, Dr. Baz Mohammad Himmat, confirmed receiving 13 injured people at the hospital from the scene. They included two children and a woman, he said.
The blast came as local officials announced tight security arrangements have been put in place for Eidul Fitr.
