KABUL): Four Afghan National Army (ANA) troops have been killed and half a dozen injured during separate roadside bomb and gun attacks in Jawzjan, Kunar and Ghazni provinces past 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.
Unknown motorcyclists shot dead two off-duty ANA service-members on Thursday when they were returning from a wedding party in Daulat Abad district of northern Jawzjan province, police chief Col. Faqir Mohammad Jawzjani told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) in a statement said one ANA soldier was killed in a roadside bomb blast in Nari district of eastern Kunar and another soldier was lost to a similar incident in Ander district of Ghazni.
Three army personnel were injured in an insurgent attack in Panjwai district of Kandahar, another two soldiers were injured in Marja district of Helmand and a sixth in Ghazni, the statement said.
