TARINKOT (PAN): On its completion, a sprawling complex was formally handed over to public order police in central Uruzgan province on Monday, an official said.
Col. Sadat Khan, the deputy police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the compound was built in one and a half year at a cost of $13 million.
He said the compound had been built with US financial assistance through the Ministry of Interior. The facility has been constructed on 26 acres of land, with capacity for 500 police personnel.
