LASHKARGAH (PAN): A 10-year-old girl, forced by her brother into carrying out a suicide bombing, surrendered to police in southern Helmand province, an official said on Monday.
The girl turned in herself to the sixth border zone police in Khanshin district, the police commander, Col. Hamidullah Siddique, told reporters.
He said Spogmai had been forced by her brother Zahir, a resident of Taghaz area, into carrying out a suicide attack on border police.
He said Zahir was yet to be arrested and Spogmai had requested them not to send her back home, fearing family would subject her to atrocities.
