KABUL) has promised reconstructing the Syedabad district headquarters building, which was destroyed in a powerful car suicide bombing a year ago in central Maidan Wardak province, an official said on Sunday.
The massive suicide blast targeted an ISAF military base in the town, inflicting widespread financial losses on civilians and severely damaging the district building, recalled Attuallah Khogyani, the gubernatorial spokesman.
He told Pajhwok Afghan News ISAF had signed an agreement with the provincial government, pledging $500,000 for the reconstruction of the district headquarters
He said foreign troops had also promised the construction of a building for the Provincial Peace Committee under the agreement signed between an ISAF commander and Governor Abdul Majeed Khogyani.
