SHARAN (Pajhwok): Four boys, including two sons of the Tarwa district chief have been killed in two separate attacks in Paktika and Helmand provinces, officials said on Monday.
Abdul Ghani Paktin, a provincial council member, told Pajhwok Afghan News the sons of the district chief died in a landmine blast on the main road in the Koski locality of the district late on Sunday. The boys were aged between 10 and 12 years.
Separately, one child was killed and two others were wounded in a mortar attack in the Sangin district of Helmand province, the police spokesman said.
Col. Abdul Ahad Chopan said the mortar fired by the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) hit a house. The child died instantly while his father and sister were wounded
